Not to much further on from Pennin was St Ives. We were advised best to look for parking in the town carparks rather than by the beach. Sound advice . We wound our way through the reaaaalllly narrow streets and finally found the suggested location - we were actually right in the middle of’ the town which was great.
St Ives is rather touristy, but still very pretty with the white sandy beach, old fishing boats and narrow cobblestone lanes .

With not a lot of time, we walked each way and back through the lanes. Again the shops were chock full with arty crafted items, clothing, souvenirs etc The pub was bursting onto the promenade and many sunburned and very tanned older men with shirts off populated the place ! Holiday makers were really enjoying the great weather.
While it was a fairly quick look, short of joining the crowds and lapping up the holiday atmosphere….. we saw St Ives main features.
The drive home was short and relatively quiet, with little traffic which was good after a long day.
